For my undergraduate capstone project, I proposedsteel and timber pavilion for Mounds State Park near Anderson, Indiana. Derived from wigwams and other material languages from the native peoples that constructed the mounds, my design featured interwoven wood panels, a complex series of irregular structural columns and brackets, as well as a recumbent bench that slopes upright at the center for improved accessibility.
